Dad is going to be fine (and that’s a huge relief).

I keep my personal life very quiet and away from the internet (sorry but that’s how I like it).

Last week, dad had dizziness and blurred vision in his left eye. After a trip to his General Practitioner (family doctor), and subsequently an MRI – which showed a brain tumor (very very small). Dad’s sense of what is on his left side was slightly affected as well, and dad had a minor car crash with a builder’s skip (large bin).

On Monday this week, dad had a biopsy performed and a small amount of this tumor was taken. Whilst it’s too early to say whether its malignant or benign, the kind of tumor is one that responds well to radiotherapy, and as such, dad won’t need further surgery to remove this tumor.

New job

Well ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to announce that today I begun my new job as Cloud Architect for The Little Group.

<pause for applause>

Thank you, thank you. Please, no autographs.

All information will be supplied by my PR person.

lol.

We’re back!

Sorry ladies and gentlemen, I fucked something up, and I was too busy to spend the time required to unfuck it, until now (yay me?).

Apple iOS 16 woes continue

Well, I seems that Apple just can’t get things right with iOS 16.

This was taken from the Macrumors site this morning:

https://www.macrumors.com/2023/01/16/ios-16-bugs-after-launch/

Fortunately, I don’t seem to be affected with any bugs, but I’ve said before – Apple continues its downward trend after the death of the notoriously picky and fanatical Steve Jobs who just wouldn’t have allowed this to happen.

When I worked at Apple, Steve Jobs would send emails out about various internal projects that had caught his eye. He was just really super fussy about this and these things that could easily be fixed.

Happy birthday my beautiful Bella (Ninah)

So today (December 12th) would be the birthday of my beautiful Bella.

I say it would be, because as you know, she died last year.

I’m told that time heals all wounds, but that is simply bullshit. Her death was a tragic accident, but it’s one that haunts and hurts as much as the day that I found out.

I’ve returned to Kenya, but I couldn’t bring myself to visit her grave. I’m sorry darling – the pain just was and still is too much.

A floating I will go (or have gone?)

Well dear readers, yesterday I experienced a sublime floating experience!

Floating I hear you ask? Yes readers, by floating, I mean the experience of going into a pod filled with with water that is heated to body temperature and infused with 550 kilograms of Epsom salt.

This was a birthday present which was wonderfully accepted by yours truly, so yesterday, I hauled my arse into the city to have my cherry popped by going into the flotation pod for 60 minutes in complete darkness/blackness and with no sound.

How was it you ask? Well, I opted to enter my tank in the nude (that’s the best way I’m told) and I happily floated away for an hour.

My experience was mine, so this is my experience. It was like I lost my body and I was just thought. It was incredibly relaxing and I’ll be back.

A belated happy birthday to me!

Well readers, the Thursday that’s just passed (29th September) was my birthday!

So it’s a big celebration now that covid 19 is over (thanks Anthony Albanese, but I can’t find a link to the news about covid 19 being over…..).

My 50th birthday was well, just shit, with the virus still lurking in the shadows, ready to say a massive ‘fuck you’ to anyone who dared flaunt it in public.

I got the virus this winter (really, it was very very very weak), so I said a big ‘fuck you’ to corona virus myself!

The weather is finally starting to be nice again – that’s the benefit of a birthday in the first month of Spring – with leaves growing on the deciduous trees again.

The stump of the wattle tree has finally been removed (thank god!) and in it’s place is a seedling of an apple tree that should produce apples in a couple of years.

My hair is long enough that I probably should tie it back, but being curly, it’s got a mind of it’s own, and of course, as I’m just terrible at putting it in a man-bun, it just looks weird and fucked up (think clown hair, just dark brown).

Anyway, that’s enough of my random thoughts for today.

Fuck you COVID-19!

Well dear readers, it would appear that despite all my attempts to avoid COVID-19 a.k.a., the corona virus, it’s got me.

Despite being vaccinated 4 fucking times against it, on Friday morning, I awoke with a dry cough that just really bugged me. I took a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) and this time it came up positive for this fucking thing.

The good news is that whilst all I feel is a very weak cold.

The bad news is that I have to go into quarantine at home for 7 days, self isolating myself.

So it’s a big

To the virus, and to whomever decided to pass it on to me.

Big arsed speakers

So I finally got around to buying two big arsed speakers for my home theater (7.1 surround).

These big arsed speakers will go at the back of my couch, and provide 5.1 sound as opposed to my 3.1 sound currently (yeah, I know I’ve got a 7.1 system – so shut up).

Anyhoo, here’s what they will look like when they arrive on August 5th.

Obviously, they’re bigger than the image, so yeah shut up.
